Michael Polanger, a 20 year old who acted in desperation after two years of obsessive, unrequited love when he broke into a house and abducted a barefoot, pajama-clad girl at gunpoint, told detectives he had been plotting the abduction of the girl for at least a month and had bought a pellet gun last week to carry out his plan. On Friday, police released a tape recording of the call to a 911 emergency line. He had gone to the house several times but was scared off or chickened out and finally got up enough nerve two days ago.
