COPS: MAN TRIES TO SNATCH TEEN

A 16 year old girl was walking down Dare Road in Selden Friday afternoon when she was grabbed by a man who attempted to get her into his truck. The girl was on Dare Road, between Powderhorn Lane and Buckskin Lane, sometime after 3 p.m. when the man approached her and first asked if she needed a ride. He then grabbed her arm but she was able to get away. The man is described as about 35, thin, with short, black hair, wearing a tan shirt and blue jeans. He was driving a red pickup truck that was pulling a silver landscaping trailer. Police ask that anyone with information call the Sixth Precinct Crime Section at 631-854-8657.
