John Kaminski, a 50 year old convicted sex offender, arrested in March on 123 child-pornography counts, is facing 68 new sexual-assault charges. Kaminski was arrested on the sexual assault charges on July 7 when he appeared in New Britain, Connecticut Superior Court for the pornography case. Police said all three children connected to the new charges are under 10. He was charged with 15 counts of first degree sexual assault, two counts of attempted first degree sexual assault, 25 counts of second degree assault, 14 counts of illegal sexual contact, 11 counts of risk of injury to a minor and one count of fourth degree sexual assault on a victim under the age of 16. Kaminski had been listed on the state's sexual offender registry following a conviction for a sex crime in Manchester in 1988. He was ordered held on bond of $3 million on the latest charges.
