Suffolk's Department of Social Services says it's considering housing homeless sex offenders at a location in Farmingdale, much to the opposition of many in the community.  One of the sites being considered is an industrial area on Gaza Boulevard.  However, the Adventureland theme park, an indoor fun center and two movie theaters are all within a mile.
