Newsday/William Murphy

Nassau County Legislator David Mejias proposed a bill yesterday aims at barring convicted sex offenders on probation from having computer access to social Web sites where they could prey on youngsters.  Sex offenders who used a computer in their crime could be required to register their computers with the county and allow the installation of monitoring software as a condition of probation.
