BILL SEEKS TO MONITOR ONLINE SEX OFFENDERS

Nassau County Legislator David Mejias proposed a bill yesterday aims at barring convicted
sex offenders on probation from having computer access to social Web sites where they could prey on
youngsters. Sex offenders who used a computer in their crime could be required to register
their computers with the county and allow the installation of monitoring software as a condition of
probation.
