William Cronin, a 48 year old Lake Grove man, was sentenced to 21 years in prison yesterday for molesting a young girl. The legal system failed when the jury found him guilty because he should have been found guilty of molesting two young girls. Cronin was convicted in December of engaging in a course of sexual conduct with and sodomizing a 9 year old girl. The Riverhead jury, however, acquitted him on charges that he sexually abused the girl's older sister, who was under 15.
