GUILTY PLEA TO WITNESS TAMPERING IN SEX CASE
Newsday/Chau Lam
William Duval Carter, a 32 year old Huntington man who pleaded guilty yesterday to witness
tampering, faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced in July. Carter knew his
cousin, Corey Davis, was under indictment on charges related to sex trafficking of women and teen
girls when he told a witness to lie to a grand jury about a "severe" cut she suffered after Davis
allegedly slashed her. Davis is serving a 293-month sentence. Carter also faces up to a
$250,000 fine at his sentencing July 6.
