24 sexual offenders in Volusia County arrested for failing to register, deputies say
Volusia County sheriff's detectives say they have arrested 24 people for failing to properly register as sexual offenders or sexual predators.
The arrests come after a countywide investigation into the criminals known as Operation Endgame.
Most of them were following rules, but 24 were found to be in violation of the law that states convicted sexual offenders or predators must register as such with the sheriff's office.
Some were arrested on unrelated warrants.
According to the Volusia County sheriff's office, there are 1,267 sex offenders or predators registered as living in Volusia County.
