ALERT CENTER: Coram man accused of posing as police officer, pulling over at least 2 women
A Coram man is accused of posing as a police officer on more than one occasion.
Police say they are looking for more possible victims.
Police say 37-year-old David Olivari is a real New York state corrections officer.
But they say on two different occasions last month he pretended he was a police officer and pulled over two different women in Suffolk County.
They say he was driving a dark colored car, and has flashing lights on his dashboard.
During one of the stops, on the Long Island Expressway Service Road in Ronkonkoma, Olivari took the victim's cellphone, police say.
He also asked for her number, and then contacted her later and asked for nude photos.
Police say another woman said something similar happened to her. She said Olivari stopped her on Shenandoah Boulevard in Nesconset.
Police say he was arrested when he went to meet one of the alleged victims on Veterans Memorial Highway in Commack Tuesday.
Police are now searching for anyone else who may have been stopped by the man.
