ANOTHER WOMAN COMES FORWARD TO ACCUSE BILL COSBY OF RAPE

Another woman who claims she was raped by Bill Cosby has spoken out about her encounter withthe embattled comedian.  The accusation is just the latest of numerous allegations of sexualabuse by Cosby and follows the claims of another alleged victim who spoke out earlier thisweek. 
Publicist and journalist Joan Tarshis claims that Cosby sexually assaulted her twice in 1969when she was 19.  The former actress and Cosby were both working at Universal Studios, and shesaid he took an interest in her.  He often pushed alcohol on her and on one instance when thetwo had been working on material together, she fell unconscious at his bungalow after having acocktail he made for her.  The next thing I remember was coming to on his couch while beingundressed, Tarshis wrote in an essay on Hollywood Elsewhere.  I thought I was being cleverwhen I told him I had an infection and he would catch it and his wife would know he had sex withsomeone.  But he just found another orifice to use.  I was sickened by what was happeningto me and shocked that this man I had idolized was now raping me.  Of course I told noone.  The second time Cosby allegedly attacked her, Tarshis claims that she had been drinkingwith Cosby while attending a performance at a music theater.  She started to feel shaky, andthe next thing I remember was waking up in his bed back at the Sherry, naked, she wrote.
Another one of Cosby's alleged victims, Barbara Bowman, published an essay in The WashingtonPost, titled Bill Cosby raped me.  Why did it take 30 years for people to believe mystory?  Bowman is one of the 13 women who have come forth accusing Cosby of sexualoffenses.  In the essay Bowman revealed details of the assault, which she writes occurredmultiple times to the then-17 year old actress in 1985.  She explains she was exploited byher assaulter.  He is a very, very scary man and very using of mind manipulation, shesaid.  He really zeroed in on my insecurities and my vulnerabilities as a young woman.
Cosby has never been charged with any of the alleged crimes.  He settled a civil suitwith another alleged victim in 2006.
