ARCHDIOCESE FINED $10G
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati pleaded no contest yesterday to charges of failing to tell authorities about sex abuse allegations and was fined $10,000. The prosecutor real the five counts of failure to report a felony aloud in court. Each charged, a misdemeanor, regarded an institutional knowledge that certain felony sex crimes involving minors occurred. The no-contest plea is not an admission of guilt, but means the defendant will not fight the charges.
