Police say a 19-year-old man has been arrested for attempted rape on Shelter Island.

According to police, they received a 911 call request for help.

Police say Carlos Geovanny Orozco-Rodriguez, 19, forcefully attempted to have sex with a female victim and subjected the victim to numerous assaultive acts resulting in physical injury.

Orozco-Rodriguez was located, arrested and arraigned before Shelter Island Justice Court.

Orozco-Rodriguez was charged with attempted rape, assault and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Pearl City High School substitute teacher accused of having sex with a 13-year-old boy during school lunch breaks will remain behind bars at least until late July.

Federal prosecutors said Tuesday that 34-year-old Alden Bunag is a danger to the community and a flight risk.

A Pennsylvania drag queen was charged with 25 counts of child pornography, according to a criminal docket issued Thursday.
