LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) – An inmate at the Nebraska State Penitentiary died Saturday.
According to the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services, 91-year-old Clyde Hicks died Saturday while serving his sentence at the penitentiary.
A cause of death has not yet been determined. A grand jury will conduct an investigation.

An Alameda County man was sentenced to serve six years in state prison for the sexual assault of a woman in San Rafael in 2019.
Jesse John Rieder, 39, appeared in Marin County Superior Court on Thursday. Rieder was previously found guilty by a jury of forcible sexual penetration with a foreign object.
Judge Geoffrey Howard, who imposed the sentence, called Rieder “dangerous to society.”

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — A teacher is accused of sexually abusing a student, according to the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office.
Albert Pavon, a teacher at Erwin High School, is charged with five sex offense charges related to the sexual abuse of a student, according to detectives with the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit
The charges are:
Indecent liberties with a child
Indecent liberties with a student
Three counts of felony dissemination of obscene material to a minor
Pavon is being held at the Buncombe County Detention Facility on a $50,000 bond.

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance to provide further information on a man who was arrested for various sex-related crimes in the Bronx over the weekend.
According to officials, 32-year-old Kemoy Royal sexually assaulted at least two women between June 14, and June 19, inside of his apartment on Pratt Avenue near Connor Street in Eastchester.
Royal was arrested at around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 19.
