Joseph Keith Symons, the 65 year old Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pal Beach, resignedtoday after admitting that he sexually molested five boys early in his 40 year career as a priest.He left the diocese for evaluation and treatment at an undisclosed location. Jeff Smith, 59, public television’s Frugal Gourmet, was accused of sexually molesting seven men, most of them had been teenage employees from 1973 to 1981.  Settling the sexual abuse accusations against Smith was more than $5 million.  No apology or admission of wrongdoing from him was included in the settlement.
