BRONX PRINCIPAL SLAPPED WITH KID-PORN RAP

James Irwin, a 51-year-old principal of a Catholic grade school in the Bronx was arrested andaccused of sending sexually explicit images of kids over the Internet. He pleaded innocent at hisarraignment in Yonkers City Court. Westchester District Attorney Jeanine Pirro said the children inthe pictures weren't from Mount Carmel. An agent posed as a man interested in child pornography andafter a discussion online Irwin indicated he was willing to send to the investigator images ofchildren engaged in sexual activity, and he did. Irwin is charged with seven counts of promoting anobscene sexual performance by a minor and faces up to seven years in jail if convicted.
