Border Patrol agents continue capturing convicted criminals who have previously been kicked out of the country. On Monday authorities apprehended a Mexican man with a record in Nevada who had been removed last year.
“Agents conducted records checks, which revealed that the man, later identified as Mauricio Moreno-Garcia, a 26-year-old Mexican national, was convicted of Sexual Lewdness w/Child less than 14 years of age in 2016 out of the state of Nevada. Moreno was sentenced to 24-60 months confinement for his conviction,” CBP reported.

A Brooklyn middle school teacher, who pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 14-year-old student multiple times on school grounds, was sentenced to four years behind bars Thursday.
Andre Braddy, 35, who formerly taught math at the Lenox Academy in Canarsie, took a plea deal last month in which he copped to 14 felonies, including criminal sex act in the second degree and promoting a sexual performance of a child.

A Eugene man and Level 3 sex offender, released from prison in June after serving 24 years for the kidnapping and rape of a child, has been charged with two new crimes.

Christopher Ray Lipska, who also goes by the last name Hare, was charged Wednesday in Lane County Circuit Court with unlawful contact with a child and second-degree encouraging child sexual abuse.

Lipska pleaded not guilty to both charges. He is due back in court for a hearing Sept. 11.

A man who admitted to having sexual relations with a 16-year-old was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Once Austin F. Robinson, 33, finishes the prison term, he will have an additional 20 years on probation. Judge Daniel J. Craig imposed the sentence Friday in Columbia County Superior Court.

The victim’s mother caught Robinson naked in her daughter’s bedroom on Sept. 26, 2018, said Assistant District Attorney Pete Lamb. Robinson had no prior criminal record.

According to a new analysis by RAINN of Justice Department data, only three out of every 100rapists will ever spend even a single day in prison.  The other 97 will walk free, facing noconsequences for the violent felony they have committed.  While the percentage of rapesreported to police has risen in recent years, a majority, 54%, still are not reported.  Basedon older data, RAINN had previously estimated that about 6% of rapists ultimately go to prison fortheir crime.
