Mount Pleasant police held a sex offender community notification meeting as Eugene Walker andCisco Roushia are set to be released and reside in the neighborhood.

A two-month joint effort between Passaic County and federal law enforcement agencies led tothe arrest of 48 registered sex offenders in Paterson.  The initiative, dubbed OperationPC-SAFE, netted three arrests for violation sex offender registration requirements while otherswere booked for offenses including aggravated sexual assault, parole violations, child support andmunicipal court warrants.  Some of those arrested had convictions for aggravated sexualassault of minors and adults as well as child endangerment.
