Suffolk County is teaming up with a Ronkonkoma crime victims advocacy group to launch a pilot program within the Babylon Union Free School District to help students and their families respond to sexual harassment and assault, County Executive Steve Bellone announced Thursday.

The pilot program was announced after school officials received complaints last year about sexual harassment and assault by former and current staff members. WASHINGTON, D.C. – A new bill requires the U.S. Department of Justice to give grants to law enforcement agencies to provide trauma-informed trainings for responding to sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking crimes.

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – Police launched a manhunt this week for a man who groped a young girl on a Queens street, according to the NYPD.

The suspect approached the 11-year-old girl in the vicinity of 43rd Avenue and 97th Place and grabbed her butt, police said. The assault happened around 7:30 a.m. on Monday.

The NYPD released photos of the suspect on Thursday. Police asked for help identifying the man.

Christopher Joseph Pack waived preliminary examination March 2 in Monroe County District Court, sending his case to circuit court for trial, court records show.

Pack, 33, of Monroe, is charged with one count each of child abusive commercial activity, using a computer to commit a crime and accosting children for immoral purposes.
