MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) – A former Montgomery County Sheriff’s officer has pleaded guilty to multiple counts of distribution, receipt, and possession of child pornography. Last March, investigators found almost 4,000 images and videos of child sex abuse on Matthew Laver’s computer.

The investigation also revealed the 38-year-old from Souderton allegedly trafficked child pornography over the course of ten years while employed at the sheriff’s office.

WYANDOTTE, Mich. (FOX 2) – After a district volunteer has been charged with sex crimes, parents say Wyandotte schools violated their trust.

The volunteer is accused of assaulting a 3-year-old and an 8-year-old. On Tuesday, the school district announced it is making changes to its volunteer policy.

“The appeal process has been eliminated,” said Patrick Sutka, the school board president. “Any person with a felony or a domestic crime will not be allowed to volunteer in the schools.”

Frederick County Sheriff Chuck Jenkins has blamed Maryland’s Montgomery county’s policies for enabling crimes from illegal immigrants and “jeopardizing public safety” as a result.

A man who sexually, physically and psychologically abused a woman in front of her young son has been jailed for 18 years.

Craig Moran repeatedly attacked the victim over three days, leaving her with multiple injuries including a fractured leg.
