BERLIN (Reuters) – A German Catholic priest was sentenced to 12 years in prison for child sexual abuse, a German court said on Friday, the latest in a string of cases that have shaken the German Catholic Church.

The Cologne district court found the man, identified in court documents as Hans Ue., guilty in a total of 110 cases between 1993 and 2018, including 23 cases of serious sexual abuse of children.

The court ordered the defendant to pay compensation to three of the nine plaintiffs for their pain and suffering. German

A 51-year-old man from the town of Raymond was handed his second guilty decision of the year in Lethbridge court on Tuesday, as a judge convicted him of two counts of sexual assault involving two women, dating back to the 1980s.
Two other counts — one of sexual assault and one of sexual interference — were dropped, after the judge said there were inconsistencies in the testimony of one of the complainants.

SALINA, Kan. (KWCH) A former employee of Saint Francis Ministries in Salina is facing 11 charges including rape, sexual exploitation of a child and indecent liberties with a child.

The Salina Journal reports Saline County District Court records show Nathaniel McEachin worked for Saint Francis Ministries from December 2018 to May 2019, when he was fired.

Morgan Rothenberger, spokesman for Saint Francis Ministries, says the organization notified authorities when suspicions were raised about McEachin.

McEachin worked at the Youth Residential Center II in Salina. Court records say victims were born between 2001

Gionatan Ricard Almaraz, a 37 year old church employee in Riverside, was arrested on Tuesdayfor an alleged sexual relationship with a 14 year old girl.  After an investigation, Almarazwas taken into custody on numerous charges related to felony sexual contact with a minor andseducing a minor via telephone/internet.  He is a staff member at the Riverside ApostolicChurch where the teen is also a member.  The alleged sexual assault occurred at thechurch.
