NEW ABUSE CHARGES FOR HIGH-RISK OFFENDER

Jonathan Knight, a 48 year old level 3 registered sex offender, was arrested and charged withthird-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child, allmisdemeanors, for committing sex acts on a 15 year old boy. Knight, of 30 Bethany Drive in Commack,was convicted in 1986 of having sodomized several young children. After prison, he was on paroleuntil 2004. He was being held in lieu of $2,000 cash bail yesterday.
