ATTORNEY SAYS CLIENT DESERVES JAIL ALTERNATIVE
Roy Landon McCaig, 63, of 704 Edgewood Drive, Sheffield, was charged in an August 4 grand jury indictment with four counts of first-degree sexual abuse, two counts of first-degree sodomy and one count of first-degree rape. His attorney argued Monday that his client should receive an alternative to prison for pleading guilty to sexually abusing a family member. The victim testified that the abuse took place periodically at McCaig’s home when she was between the ages of 6 and 12. She testified at McCaig’s sentencing hearing that she felt as
