A military appellate court has upheld the conviction of a former U.S. Navy chief who pleaded guilty last year to sex crimes that occurred while he was stationed in Bahrain.
The case of former Chief Logistics Specialist Calvin Halfacre was one of a rash of sex and trafficking cases involving Thai women and sailors stationed on the Middle Eastern island in 2017.
That year, three women working as prostitutes accused Halfacre of brutally raping them in his off-base apartment.

A Mississippi-based U.S. Navy senior chief is facing court-marital over allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman and threatened to distribute nude photos on social media, among other alleged crimes, according to charge sheets.

Prosecutors allege Senior Chief Construction Mechanic Luis H. Garcia sexually assaulted the woman in Guam on Sept. 16, 2018. The woman’s name is redacted in the charge sheet copy provided to Navy Times.

Garcia is also charged on the same date for violating the Navy’s sexual harassment policy when he allegedly kissed the neck

A U.S. Naval Academy midshipman and ex-Navy soccer team midfielder has been charged with sexually assaulting sleeping female classmates, according to charge sheets provided to Navy Times.
It remains unclear how many victims Midshipman Nixon Keago allegedly assaulted because their names are redacted in the released records.
The third-year midshipman is accused of entering a female classmate’s dorm room in February 2018, removing her clothes without her permission and sexually assaulting her while she slept, the filings allege.

A decorated Navy captain was found guilty of attempting to have sex with a child and will spend thenext eight years behind bars, forfeit all pays and allowances and will be dismissed from theservice once his sentence is finished.

Allan Waters, a 58 year old former naval officer from Portchester, Hampshire, and Duncan Grant,61, from London, were both found guilty of child sex abuse. They were both fined E20,000 (US$35,000) each. They will be lodging an appeal. The court hear that they abused boys as young aseight at the shelter.
