Josh Duggar, a 27 year old reality TV star, issued an apology Thursday after reportssurfaced that he allegedly molested girls as a teenager, saying: I acted inexcusably. Duggar is the oldest of the children who appear on TLC’s hit show 19 Kids and Counting.  Hisstatement appears to refer to a 2006 police report obtained by In Touch magazine detailing theaccusations and investigation of child molestation in Arkansas.

Andrea Clevenger, an Arkansas mother who appeared on a reality television show, was sentencedto prison for the sexual assault of a 13 year old family friend.  Clevenger, of TLC’s ‘CheerPerfection,’ a show about competitive cheerleaders, pleaded guilty to one count of first degreesexual assault and engaging a child in sexually explicit conduct.  She received two 10-yearprison sentences and two 10-year suspended sentences.  She must also register as a sexoffender.

Vincent Don Vito Margera, the 50 year old uncle of reality TV’s Viva La Bam star BamMargera, was held without bond Saturday, he is accused of two incidents of sexual assault on achild.

Carlos Cruz, Portugal’s best-known TV personality, and six others have been charged withsexually abusing orphans. The trial began yesterday. Cruz, known as Mr. Television, faces fivecharges of sexual abuse and one of a homosexual act with an adolescent. One of the defendants is awoman and they are accused of molesting children at Lisbon’s Casa Pia orphanage. The other suspectsinclude an ex-ambassador and a former Casa Pia deputy warden. An ex-Casa Pia driver faces more than300 charges of procuring the children for the accused.

Jeff Smith, 59, public television’s Frugal Gourmet, was accused of sexually molesting seven men, most of them had been teenage employees from 1973 to 1981.  Settling the sexual abuse accusations against Smith was more than $5 million.  No apology or admission of wrongdoing from him was included in the settlement.
