A Bladen County man was arrested Tuesday on new child sex charges.

Sheriff James A. McVicker says 35-year-old William Bryan Clark of Elizabethtown was arrested andcharged with Disseminating Obscenity to a Minor, Soliciting a Child By Computer and IndecentLiberties with a Child.

“My deputies began investigating this case in early June and were able to obtain enoughevidence to satisfy the elements of these crimes and make an arrest today,” said McVicker.“This individual was previously arrested in April of this year by the North Carolina StateBureau of Investigation on a charge of Indecent

Facing a maximum of 170 years after being convicted in early May of three class A felony childmolesting counts, and one class B felony sexual misconduct with a minor, Kenneth Hobensack’ssentence was handed down last week by Boone County Superior Court I Judge Matthew Kincaid.

Hobensack will serve 65 years in prison. Fifty of those years will be on each count of childmolestation and they are set to run concurrently. Kincaid then added 15 years to run consecutivelyon the sexual misconduct with a minor count.

A convicted sex offender suspected of molesting several Riverside children was being held Fridayin lieu of $1.5 million bail.

Tyrone Sanchez, 35, of Hemet was arrested Thursday and booked into the Robert Presley Jail onsuspicion of lewd acts on a child under 14 years old, forced oral copulation of a minor andtargeting multiple victims in a sex crime.

According to Riverside police Detective Karla Beler, the alleged offenses occurred over aroughly 14-year span, beginning in 2003.

Beler declined to disclose how the children knew the suspect, or the circumstances behind thealleged

A Long Island real estate investor convicted of producing child pornography has been sentencedto 60 years in prison.

Newsday reports that Joseph Valerio, of Smithtown, was sentenced on Tuesday by a federaljudge.

The 50-year-old man was arrested by FBI agents and Suffolk County police officers in 2014.

Prosecutors say Valerio had his girlfriend in the Ukraine make and send him videos of hersexually abusing her 2-year-old daughter. They say he sent her between $8,000 and $12,000 over thecourse of their relationship.

The girlfriend has pleaded guilty in the case and is awaiting sentencing.

A Madison County man will serve 20 years in prison after pleading guilty in a child exploitationcase according to the Attorney General’s office.

Timothy Flanagan, 40, pleaded guilty to one count of child exploitation on Monday in MadisonCounty Circuit Court. Attorney General Jim Hood’s office said Flanagan was arrested in Flora inAugust 2016 by investigators with the AG’s cyber crime unit and the Madison County Sheriff’sDepartment.

An investigation revealed he had been downloading child porn, officials said.

A man is in custody after police say he molested and impregnated a 10-year-old in Marion,Indiana.

Nicholas Deon Thrash is facing 10 counts of child molesting.

The victim’s family says the man accused of molesting and impregnating the then 10-year-old girlwas no stranger. In fact, he was living with her mother.

The young girl’s grandmother said she met Thrash multiple times and never thought he would becapable of doing something like this.

She described him as polite and helpful around the house, saying he had them fooled.

She says her granddaughter is now 20 weeks
