Egypt’s public prosecutor has charged a university student with indecent assault of at least three women, including one who was a minor at the time, in a case prompted by a social media campaign that opened up a rare public debate on sex crimes.

NORTHAMPTON — In recent weeks, Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. has faced calls to resign over what sexual assault survivors and their advocates say is lenient treatment of men accused of sexual assault.

WORCESTER — A Gardner podiatrist faces charges for allegedly writing a Florida man fraudulent prescriptions with no legitimate medical reason for a known date-rape drug, authorities said Monday.
