CHURCH UNVEILS TOUGH NEW SEX-ABUSE POLICY

New rules issued by the New York Archdiocese have ordered all prospective employees who will work with kids or the elderly to undergo background checks, according to the New York Post.  Under the broad new sexual misconduct policy of the city's Roman Catholic archdiocese, parishes must carry out the checks on supervisory personnel, including volunteers, as well as those who work around vulnerable people.
