PFMLIT CLERGY, General, SEX OFFENDERS AND OTHERS IN POSITIONS OF TRUST

The Diocese of Brooklyn revealed Friday that it has received 188 abuse allegations against 87 priests and deacons since 1950, providing its first accounting of sexual misconduct since the nationwide scandal erupted two years ago.  A similar report from the Archdiocese of New York said that since 1950, it received allegations from 136 people and that 45 priests and deacons are believed to have committed sexual misconduct with minors.
