CUMMING, GEORGIA MAN SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR ENTICING CHILD TO ENGAGE IN SEXUAL ACTIVITY

Randy Hickman, a 49 year old man from Cumming, Georgia, was sentenced to more than 11 years in federal prison today by US District Judge Marvin H. Shoob on a charge of using a computer connected to the internet to entice and persuade a 10 year old girl to engage in sexual activity.  He was sentenced to 11 years, 3 months in federal prison, to be followed by 10 years of supervised release.  Hickman was indicted in march 2006 and pleaded guilty to the charge on June 20, 2006.  He was actually talking to an undercover agent working with the FBI's Safe Child Task Force.
