DETROIT MOBILIZES TO FIGHT SCHOOLGIRL RAPISTS

Parents have begun driving their children to school or schooling them at home after the rapes of eight schoolgirls in just two months.  The first taking place on the first day of school.  According to the New York Times, Detroit's mayor has mobilized tens of thousands of parents, police officers, city workers and neighbors to patrol the streets to make it safe to go to school.  A man has been arrested and charged with one of the rapes and two more men are being sought.
