EX-CON DENIES ROLE IN TANKLEFF SLAYINGS (Tells prosecutor he has never even been to Belle Terre, where the Tankleffs lived and were killed in ’88)

Joseph Creedon, a 45 year old Selden man convicted of a statutory rape in the past, conceded that he's done a lot of bad things in his life.  He testified that he has beaten up people who owed his bosses debts and even pointed guns at them, all part of his duties as a drug money collector, but dismissed the seriousness of having sex with a minor.

As bad as he may be, he said, he's no killer.  He testified that he played no role in the September 1988 slayings of Arlene and Seymour Tankleff, whose son, Martin, is serving a prison sentence for.
