John O’Mard, a former JW Dodd Middle School principal in Freeport, pleaded guilty tofour counts of engaging in a criminal sex act involving a 16 year old boy, as well as otherassorted charges including official misconduct.  He also pleaded guilty to falsifying hisapplication with the Freeport school district 10 years ago.  He admitted to using afriend’s fingerprints as his own in order to hide a criminal past that included priorconvictions for grand larceny and petit larceny.  O’Mard will have to register as a sexoffender at a level determined by a judge next month.
