Barry Sherman, a 39 year old man who snatched a 6 year old girl from her front yard on November 8, 2001, and held her for ransom, has been sentenced to 22 years in prison.  Anna Cardelfe, of Spring Lake, was released unhurt a day later and police caught the kidnapper.  He was ordered to serve 15 years for kidnapping Anna and also received a consecutive seven year sentence for child endangerment, and must serve more than 14 years before he will become eligible for parole.  He will receive credit for the 520 days he has already served.  He said he wanted Anna's parents to pay $175,000 so he could buy a boat.  Anna and her family moved to New Jersey from New York City following the terrorist attacks.
