FORMER AIDE TO FORMER INDIANA ATTORNEY GENERAL INDICTED ON CHILD PORN
Dan Foley, submitted an order for five videotapes for a total price of $245 on February 24th, 1998. The videotapes he received through the mail show sex between minors. According to a search warrant, postal agents in Des Moines, Iowa, set up an Internet sting, offering on a message board to sell incest tapes. In April, a package notice was place in his post office box, he was followed home with the package of tapes and arrested. He has been indicted by a federal grand jury on child pornography charges. A background check revealed no criminal history. He was released on bond. If he is convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison and/or a fine of $250,000. Foley was press secretary to former Indiana attorney general Linley Pearson from 1980-1992.
