FORMER FLYING WALLENDAS MEMBER ARRESTED

Enrico Wallenda, a 52 year old former member of the famous Flying Wallendas, was arrestedon Tuesday on charges he molested an 11-year-old girl.  The girl reportedly told authoritiesthat he had molested her for several years.  The Florida Department of Children & Familiesinvestigated a similar claim against Wallenda in 2001, when the girl was 5 years old.  DCFinvestigators said they found evidence of sexual interference or signs of irritation, but wereunsure if it was caused by hygiene problems.  Wallenda voluntarily turned himself in toauthorities but declined to make a statement without his attorney.  He was charged with felonysexual battery on a child less than 12 years old.  He remained in the Sarasota County jail onWednesday evening with bail set at $50,000.
