FOUR YEAR SENTENCE FOR MAN IN INTERNET SEX-ABUSE CASE

Richard Patterson, 28, is the first of four men caught seeking underage sex partners on the Internet that was sentenced to four years in prison.  He drove to a mall to meet what he thought would be a 15 year old boy named Rob.  According to the Chicago Tribune, he met Rob on the Internet but Rob turned out to be Sheriff's Deputy Rick White.  Patterson was convicted of attempted aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
