GAG ORDER OVER NEW JERSEY SCHOOL GRID ‘RAPE’
In a closed-door detention hearing in Newark Family Court, a New Jersey judge yesterday slapped a gag order on the prosecutors, lawyers and parents of two high school football players accused of kidnapping and raping a 15 year old classmate in a Montclair park last week. The hearing was held to determine whether the Montclair High School teammates, a 15 year old sophomore and a 17 year old senior, would remain in a juvenile lockup or be released to their parents' custody. They were charged as minors with kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault, conspiracy and endangering the welfare of a child in the alleged October 4 attack in Canterbury Park. The two teens and a 16 year old teammate offered the girl a lift as she walked home and then drove to the park instead. The 16 year old left the park before the alleged attack and is now cooperating with police.
