GEORGIA MAN SENTENCED FOR MASSIVE COLLECTION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

Kenneth Earl Ladner, a 71 year old man from Marietta, Georgia, was sentenced in federal courtlate yesterday to a prison term of 7 years in federal prison for possessing thousands of images ofchild pornography. Ladner's huge collection of child pornography, amassed over dozens of years, wasuncovered when Cobb County police executed a search warrant predicated on reports from his ownadult children and grandchildren that he had repeatedly molested them over the past three decades.US District Court Judge Julie E. Carnes sentenced Ladner to seven years in federal prison, wherethere is no parole. Upon his release from prison, he will spend the rest of his life on supervisedrelease, with the special condition that he have no contact with persons under the age of 18.Ladner was indicted in December 2004 and pleaded guilty in February 2006.
