Afghan President Hamid Karzai pardoned a 19 year old Afghan woman who was serving a 12 yearprison sentence for having sex out of wedlock after she was raped by a relative.  Karzai'soffice said that the woman and her attacker have agreed to marry. The woman had the man's childwhile in prison and raised her daughter behind bars, which is common among women imprisoned inAfghanistan.
