HIGH COURT RULES ON NET PORN (Free-speech issue still open)

Newsday

The Supreme Court partly upheld yesterday a federal law meant to keep Internet pornography awayfrom children, but it kept alive a fight over whether the measure is an unconstitutional crimp onfree speech. The divided court deflected one of several challenges to the 1998 law and returned thecase to a lower court for further review or a trial on unresolved free-speech questions.
