HIV FIEND GETS 25 YEARS FOR SODOMIZING BOY

Anthony Mercer, a 42 year old HIV-positive Brooklyn man, has been sentenced to 25 years behind bars for assaulting and sodomizing a 16 year old boy lured to his apartment with promises of wine, women and fun.  Mercer came on to the teen and when the victim tried to leave, Mercer hit him, stabbed him several times with a knife in the left lung, chest and hand, pinned him up against a wall and sexually abused him.  Mercer sodomized the boy without a condom.  Test results for the victim came back HIV-negative.  Mercer was also sentenced in Brooklyn Supreme Court to 3 1/2 to 7 years behind bars for perjury after another teen, a 17 year old boy, reported the defendant has asked him to lie by claiming he was present when the 16 year old was attacked.  Mercer will have to serve that sentence after finishing his 25 year stint.
