He looks just like another resident in this Elysian Park neighborhood. But this man has a secretpast that you won't find on California's Megan's Law Web Site.

Charles Diorio was convicted of rape, sodomy and sexual abuse. He was sentenced to 3 to 9 yearsin prison. He's a registered sex offender in New York. California law says he has to be registeredhere, but Diorio is nowhere to be found. Neighbors say Diorio moved in about four or five yearsago. Now he allegedly runs a dating service out of this home. Encounters Dating Service isregistered to him. Neighbors say they see people come and go and some of it is not in private. Lastmonth this convicted rapist was arrested for battery. He bailed out and the case is pending, butsomehow he was never charged with failing to register as a sex offender.
