LAWYER TO POST LIST OF ACCUSED PRIESTS

PFMLIT CLERGY, General, SEX OFFENDERS AND OTHERS IN POSITIONS OF TRUST

Dallas lawyer Sylvia Demarest has compiled a list of 2,600 Roman Catholic priests nationwide who have been accused of sexual misconduct against children and she plans to post it online by early next year.  The list was assembled from public sources, such as court filings and media reports.  She and her staff spent 11 years on the list.  Her database is believed to be the only one of national scope that identifies priests.
