MAINE: RESIDENTS SHOCKED WHEN SEX OFFENDER SHOWS UP AT MEETING ABOUT HIM

Eugene Weir, 54, marched down the aisle and introduced himself at a meeting that was being held at Town Hall on Tuesday night about a sex offender who moved into their community.  They were shocked when they found out it was Weir.  He told them he did not want to harm their children but told parents to keep their kids away from the Pleasant Valley Road farm where he will live and work with his mother.  He served nine years in a Massachusetts jail for sexually assaulting three of his six daughters when they were between 4 and 7 years old.  He turned himself in five years after committing the last assault.
