Man accused of attempting to meet with teen girl for sex heads to trial
MONROE, MI – A man accused by an undercover child predator task force of arranging to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex is heading to trial.
Christopher Joseph Pack waived preliminary examination March 2 in Monroe County District Court, sending his case to circuit court for trial, court records show.
Pack, 33, of Monroe, is charged with one count each of child abusive commercial activity, using a computer to commit a crime and accosting children for immoral purposes.
He was arrested during an undercover operation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Violent Internet Predator and Exploitation Response Task Force, or VIPER, after he allegedly arranged to meet with the girl in Frenchtown Township, police said.
Pack is scheduled for a pretrial hearing March 18.
