MAN ACCUSED OF SEX ABUSE OF ADOPTED SON WAS CLEARED IN EARLIER INQUIRY

Stan Feinstein, 61, a Brooklyn foster father was arrested Monday night, accused of routinely molesting his 10 year old adopted son.  Feinstein had been investigated and cleared of a similar allegation earlier this year.  The boy was adopted in 1997 and before the adoption, the boy had lived with Feinstein for several years as a foster child.  Feinstein has denied the allegations.  He has had at least a half dozen children in his care since 1983.  Investigators are checking whether any of the other children reported sexual abuse.  Feinstein is charged with sodomy, sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.  If convicted on the most serious charges, he faces a maximum sentence of 5 to 25 years in prison.  He has no criminal record.
