MAN ARRESTED IN CYBER OPERATION

Richard Trincellito, a 39 year old New Hyde Park man who designs toys and games for major manufacturers, has been charged with attempted rape, attempted sodomy and child endangerment after being caught in an Internet sting operation.  Trincellito, of 2013 New Hyde Park Road, was arraigned Friday after his arrest in the 7-11 parking lot in Bayside.  Bail was set at $25,000.  He allegedly used AOL instant messages to try to arrange a sexual liaison with a person he believed to be a 13 year old girl.  Instead it was an undercover detective posing as the teenage girl who engaged in sexually explicit chat with Trincellito.  Trincellito also allegedly sent the detective sexually explicit photographs, including one of himself.  Additional charges against him include attempted dissemination of indecent material to minors and attempted sex abuse.  If convicted of the charges, he faces up to 7 years in prison.
