MAN CHARGED WITH SNATCHING GIRL FROM HOME

PFMLIT ABDUCTION KIDNAPPING, ABDUCTION KIDNAPPING, DEATH PENALTY FOR SEX OFFENDERS AND OTHERS, General, HANDYMAN, SEX OFFENDERS AND OTHERS IN POSITIONS OF TRUST

In Salt Lake City, around 3am on Thursday May 6th, a mother heard muffled screams from her daughter's second floor bedroom.  The mother opened the door to find a man kidnapping her 8 year old child out the window.  The mother immediately called police who found Adam Ure hiding in the bushes around the corner.  According to police, he had his hand over her mouth and an officer heard this muffled sound and decided to check it out.  The girl was treated and released from the hospital.  The girl and her mother recognized Ure as a handyman at their apartment complex.
