MAN HELD IN ALLEGED RAPE OF GIRL, 14

Edwin Aguilar, a 21 year old Freeport man, was arrested Tuesday on a charge that he raped a 14year old girl. Aguilar, of 206 Jay Street, carried on a sexual relationship with the girl for abouta month. When the girl's parents learned about the relationship, they contacted the police.Aguilar, a construction worker, was arraigned yesterday. He was charged with second degree rape andwas being held in the Nassau County jail in East Meadow on bail of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. Ifhe is convicted, he faces up to 7 years in prison.
